Let’s Discover Living Things

Nature ProgramSAM

Meet SAM, a very special Short-tailed weasel as he helps us to explore what living things are. He'll help us learn the difference between living and non-living things, what they need to survive and he will even share with us his awesome adaptation to help him stay alive. SAM will also bring some real examples of living and non-living things in his nature kits.

Duration: 60 minutes

Capacity: 1 class; up to 30 students

What to expect: Students will explore the difference between living and non-living things, what living things need to survive and an adaptation for survival through song, story, and exploration with SAM.

This program is well suited for both indoor and outdoor spaces.

 

 

 

 

Farm School

Heritage Programfarm school

Helping out around the farm was an important part of growing up for a child over 100 years ago. Explore some of the every day chores children would do to help out and how they are different from what we do today.

Duration: 60 minutes

Capacity: 1 class; up to 30 students

Price: FREE*

What to expect: Students will get to experience how children helped out living on a farm over 100 years ago here in Ontario. Students will see how a child dressed 100 years ago, try out different farm chores, and collect their morning breakfast through activities and demonstrations.

This program is well suited for both indoor and outdoor spaces.
